The setting is lovely Staff all exceptional. Restaurant nicely arranged in several separate areas. Food was just super. I had a room on second floor and got immediate help with my suitcase.

Great location, right next to the Nags Head, where we had a lovely dinner. Breakfast was a bargain. Freshly cooked bacon sandwich, coffee, also yoghurts and croissants included in the price. Staff are very friendly and professional.

I liked the location, cleanliness, the spacious room, and comfy bed. Staff were amazing. They made sure we were looked after. Naz, Uzma, Zee, Mary, and Greashma, thank you for making our stay comfortable.

The room was really large and spacious with nice big windows. Two single beds to choose from 😊 The decor is maybe a little dated but I don't mind that as it kind of fits in with the buildings history. My room had a plaque outside to say either Stan Laurel or Oliver Hardy had stayed in the room so that was awesome too. All the staff I interacted with were fabulous and really helpful and accomodating. Breakfast was very tasty you can't beat a full English to set you up for the day 😊 Car parking on site too and the walkway up to reception is glorious and totally in keeping with the fact it was a railway hotel. Lounge area and bar very comfortable and menu was impressive. Oh and did I mention free wifi which actually does work. Excellent value for the money and would definately stay there again.

    I know the area very well I used to live in Liversedge which...

    I know the area very well I used to live in Liversedge which is actually where Healds Hall is as I already have visited it for different reasons before. The hotel is not far from Cleckheaton as I used to work in Cleckheaton but I was visiting my daughter for Christmas and although our visit was too short we had a great time and I would very much recommend this hotel.

    The locals very friendly and hospitable.

    The locals very friendly and hospitable. Nice restaurants which are very varied. We dined at Healds Hall Hotel and the food was amazing, but you need to book a table in advance as it is very popular and can get busy. The staff there ensure you get your chosen meal piping hot. they are very hard working and work as a team very efficiently. Really lovely staff.

    Terrible, disappointing, lacked basic comforts, no heating, no hot water, toilet in one of the rooms kept breaking, no food or breakfast options, no bar both of which is predicted on website, no-one available was that helpful or overly concerned. No onsite staff in hotel, no-one! A weekend cut short due to the faults above and the most uncomfortable stay! Contact was by telephone which meant time waiting.

    Perhaps we didn't see the best bits, but our impression was of a drab urban wasteland. The hotel was a good base for the must-visit coalmine, and we also went to Haworth and Hebden Bridge. We ate at the hotel (one of the best ever!)

    I'd just attended a family funeral on arrival. i was welcomed by a lovely gentleman who insisted he made a rm change to accompany my needs. The house was beautiful,the view was outstanding. I felt like I was home. I walked around the grounds and felt overwhelmed by veiw. I will be staying again. I did live in Cleckheaton for many years, and memories came flooding back, I was I'd have stayed longer. Bolton born Yorkshire breed strong in arm,thick inn head hehe. Thanku to the gentleman who provided me with extra coffee n suger at 6am.

    The room was very 'old worldy' and little dated but large and very comfortable. I had a family room high up in the rafters of the hotel but apart from the slightly narrow stairs iot was warm, comfortable and clean. The staff were AMAZING!! So friendly, helpful and patient. They were a credit to the hotel and made our stay very enjoyable. The lady at reception (I wish I had taken her name) was so lovely and friendly (I told her my name was George Clooney) and we had a good laugh while she was checking me in.

    The host went above & beyond to make our stay the best it could be! Excellent service & communication throughout our stay. The hotel is right in the town centre, 2 minutes walk from the bus station & 2 minutes walk to shops, restaurants, pubs/bars. The bed was soooooo comfy!! Hotel was quiet. We really enjoyed our stay.
