This is a very special place the atmosphere was very cosy friendly and happy and we loved that it is owned by the community ,the room exceeded our expectations the decor was great loved the colours grey blue really comfy bed add powerful shower even loved the tiles in the bathroom! It’s an interesting,ornate old building with plenty of character.We liked that it’s slightly shabby; it has plenty of character,a warm and welcoming place.Lovely setting. Our room was very big,huge bay window,sitting area. The bed was soo comfortable. The breakfast was good.The breakfast room charming.We felt very well looked after!

Hotel had everything we required. It was 1 mile out of town but a nice walk along the Canal. It had the choice of 2 dining options, or there is a pub just a short distance away. Breakfast was amazing, enough to please everyone. Would highly recommend staying here.

    We booked this house as we were attending an event in Colne.

    We booked this house as we were attending an event in Colne. The house was a very short trip down the road and the access was super easy. There's a lovely pub and a small general store within walking distance form the house. Parking for two vehicles and plenty of room inside for all of us.

    Cowling itself is disappointing but the local pub 'The Bay...

    Cowling itself is disappointing but the local pub 'The Bay Horse' does excellent food. The local village store is well stocked. There's a wine bar and take away pizza place. Otherwise not much else.

    We liked the accommodation apart from uncomfortable beds...

    We liked the accommodation apart from uncomfortable beds noisy and squeaky. The lodges are too close to each other and the hosts husband and wife were kept disturbing us. No privacy. We had to wisper all the time.
