The room was beautiful and had everything you could need; Tobias was so friendly and helpful; the breakfast was great and catered to our dietary requirements; and the location was gorgeous and really peaceful. Great lodge spotlessly clean with everything you'll need for a perfect stay. Good quality furniture and beds. Wonderful to watch the wildlife. So peaceful but within easy distance to the town. The owners were so helpful with a small issue we had and was resolved quickly.

The accommodation was immaculate and so homely! I've never been somewhere that is so well stocked. There were so many little extras provided that we weren't expecting. It was spacious and allowed us to gather as a family. Communication with the owner was excellent. Location was brilliant, tucked out of the way but within a short drive to amenities! Absolutely loved our stay.

Great location and parking. The staff were outstanding. Martin and Margaret were great at breakfast, as were the lady who owns the hotel and the lady who checked me in. Breakfast- wow! Absolutely gorgeous. My room was very clean and comfortable. It was at the back of the hotel and was quiet. I was made to feel really welcome.

The local area may not look the best, but the area was quiet with easy access to the coast, hills and larger towns. Dalbeattie town forest on the doorstep was a lovely escape, overall a great central place to explore Dumfries and Galloway

This is a lovely area with good opportunities for outdoor activities such as walking, cycling in nearby forests and kayaking on the Solway coast. If you just want to relax nearby Kippford has pubs with outdoor seating overlooking the pictureseque harbour.

Dalbeattie is smaller than nearby Castle Douglas or Newton Stewart Its is a very pleasant town with reasonable facilities but it is a great location to base yourself and explore the whole of the Solway Coast and the old Stewartry. Eating out options are limited especially if you are looking for dog friendly

A lovely little town with plenty of places to eat and drink. Very close to the sea. Lots of lovely walks for our dog. Everyone very friendly. We ate at Luigis, Kings Arms and Rose Garden. All delicious and great value for money.

Dalbeattie has a beautiful park , wonderful for taking photos. There are lots of little shop to wander into. Nothing looked boarded up or shabby. We chose to eat in but there are plenty of other outlets to choose from.

Dalbeattie town did not really feature in our visit at all...

Dalbeattie town did not really feature in our visit at all other than the provision of sandwiches and juice for picnic lunches. We are keen on walking and exploring the countryside, forest walks, Caerlaverock nature reserve, Threave Gardens etc.

The Hotel was ideal for the first stage of my 'tour' of the Dumfries and Galloway coast. Set in a tranquil and idyllic location. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The room was comfortable and benefited from a small terrace - ideal to sit outside and enjoy the birdsong and quiet garden. I had breakfast and also ate in the bar in the evenings and all the food was exceptionally good.

Spotlessly clean accommodation and very well equipped. The property is finished to a high standard with everything you could possibly need. Very comfortable and is like a home from home. It is situated in a quiet residential area but only a short walk from Dalbeattie town centre and all the amenities on offer.
