It feels quite small and doesn’t seem to have a lot going on and if you like shopping you’ll be disappointed but you can happily spend your time walking, viewing the surroundings and eating in some lovely restaurants and pubs. You can manage without a car as there is a train station which links to Glasgow, Edinburgh and many more places. Also it’s only an eight minute train ride to Stirling where there are lots of shops and eateries. Stirling is ideal if you are into Scottish history and castles. Nice high street offering a good mix of cafes, gift shops and galleries, as well as practical everyday shops. Fascinating and impressive cathedral. Entry by donation. Pleasant walks along the river. Restaurants and pubs are great.
Restaurants and pubs are great. The Riverside restaurant is amazing but book in advance. The Tappit Hen has a great atmosphere but The Village Inn was a bit dodgy. The quaint streets and the lovely walk around the river is beautiful.Guest review byJaniceUnited Kingdom - 8.0
We all enjoyed our stay.
We all enjoyed our stay. Breakfast and dinner were very good. However more attention to cleaning needs to be addressed. Dado rail in the bar was covered in dust. There was also some food under the table and it was still there the next day. The tv control in the room was greasy and dusty, obviously not been cleaned for a while. Very quiet at night due to its location but also a perfect location for seeing the beautiful Cathedral city of Dunblane. Owner could not have been more helpful and friendly. If you're lucky you may get a packet of Abernethy biscuits left for them as a welcome. 😁 Ps the bird feeder outside adds to the colour of the stay.
