Lovely little shops to walk in and out of. You get to watch the loch in action with the four levels the boats have to go through to get to the next section. Cute little town on the south end of Loch Ness. It's quite in the mornings and evenings but gets very busy over day with day tourists by the bus load. Fort Augustus definately worth a visit although gets very busy with tourists. We appreciated slightly quieter places with less people around. There are a few places to eat out and would recommend the Chinese food at the Richmond House Hotel where we were staying. We had our own private bathroom/shower a short walk from the dome which was clean and well maintained. It’s a 10 minute drive from Fort Augustus and Loch Ness was literally over the road.
