We enjoyed visiting the water fall and walking in the woods...
We enjoyed visiting the water fall and walking in the woods and along the coastal path. We had tea and cake at the golf club. They were absolutely wonderful. They allow dogs in too. We highly recommend a visit, even if you don’t play golf. The Old Inn pub was very welcoming too. Especially if you have dogs. A bit difficult to say as the recent storm was in full flow by the time we arrived but it was still a beautiful place. A great location for those who like the outdoors and also for those who enjoy the natural beauty. From the write up about the hotel it made it sound as if it was in Gairloch but it was quite a long distance away. The facilities by the harbour were closed for the winter even though it was September. The sister hotel was OK except dog friendly and they were in the dining area. Gairloch is lovely; we stayed two days and enjoyed our travels out and about in the area but would not return to this hotel again. Hated having to come back to it for the second night, whereas we should have been looking forward to it. We had to experience another night in a double bed that was two single beds put together (badly).... and that had two SINGLE quilts on top ????? - and then to wake up in the morning to a second breakfast - a repeat of the awful shambles the day before. So - Gairloch is a lovely place but this hotel is NOT recommended. Way overpriced and under delivers in all areas.Guest review byKayUnited Kingdom - 10.0
