Jeremy and Claudie are lovely, very helpful and ready with advice and recommendations for things to see around Glastonbury, but never intrusive. Jeremy and I had a short but meaningful conversation about the ley lines and energy of the area. The other guests were friendly and good vibes abounded. The location on Wearyall Hill was perfect, away from the bustle of the town centre but still within walking distance (bear in mind that it’s an uphill trek). Great views of the Tor and I awoke to birdsong every morning. Magical place and I will definitely be back.

I loved my stay in Glastonbury and was sad to leave.

I loved my stay in Glastonbury and was sad to leave. I attended a week long retreat and did not get enough time to explore. There are so many interesting shops on High Street and little hidden alley ways full of treasure, you almost need a week to explore the shops, let alone explore the spiritual aspects of such a special place. I don't think you have to be overly tuned to percieve the energy of places like Chalice Well, the Tor, or the ruins of the Abbey, and some of the beautiful trees radiate ancient power. If you're coming to Glastonbury, allow at least a week but 2 would be better...just to make sure you have time to just be.

Glastonbury is known for its spiritual and festival energies and it lives up to that. I felt an air of calmness. The town had a laid back vibe. I trundled along the lanes on my own and even in the dark i felt quite safe but cautious. I don’t want to suggest throwing caution to the wind 😊 There are plenty of lovely little independent shops and plenty of places to eat. I only stayed for a couple of nights but would happily go back for a longer stay xx

A quirky town with a bohemian atmosphere.

A quirky town with a bohemian atmosphere. Just go and explore. You won't find any shops or cafes from the big chains but you'll be able to buy a book on ley-lines, witch potion ingredients, crystals for healing or a fairy grotto for no obvious purpose. Its a crazy, unique and essentially English place and well worth a visit

Glastonbury remains the spiritual centre it was in medieval times, but with very obvious differences in variey of presentations, both traditional and 'New Age'. There are still some genuine holy places, e.g. the Chalice Well, but also lots of 'spiritual shopping', where it's hard to gauge what is genuine. As such, Glastonbury can be noisy and colourful (spot the great murals) but also attract some odd characters. Glastonbury is gathered around the large Abbey grounds and its main attractions could be seen in an energetic 24 hours.

Love this hotel - very old - great atmosphere - great staff - and bang in the centre of the town and close to all the places of interest - the building is old so some floorboards might creak a bit - as it is at least 800 years old - so if you are one of those people who complain that a floor creaks - or isn't quite level - stay at a Travelodge or Premier Inn and don't use this site to complain that an 800 year old hotel has creaking floorboards - that is all part of the fun of staying there

Michelle at Aroha was a marvellous host. Friendly and attentive - simply a lovely person! The house was really convenient for me to get to Glastonbury Festival and back each day - just 5 miles from where I park at the Festival. Nice simple breakfast, comfy room, great shower and spacious bathroom opposite my room. Quiet at night so slept very well. Free parking in the road too.
