Stunning part of the UK with something for everyone, whether it be history, nature, good food and/or amenities. I hiked the full length of the hills along every ridge from End Hill and returned via the woods. In all it was 11.5 miles from and back to my accommodation. There are a couple of places with WC facilities and pit-stops. Breathtaking views and beautiful scenery. I had the pleasure of witnessing sheep-shearing by local friendly farmers who assisted me on my route. The previous day I did a circular around British Camp Iron Age Fort. It's called the Malvern Hills & the main street is steep.
It's called the Malvern Hills & the main street is steep. However with so many places to eat, interesting shops, an impressive theatre & beautiful scenery, it's a national treasure. Malvern has a fantastic park, nice restaurants and we really enjoyed the craft beer bar - Weavers. The theatre and park are great but the cafe there is expensice. I suggest buying a picnic from Waitrose and eating it in the park - the play area in the park is all wood adventures. Another plus is the Foley Arms - best Wetherspoons in the world, honest. They have parking right next to the hotel. Had a twin room which was large and with a large bathroom with a bath. The breakfast was good - quality ingredients, a real choice of full English but also bagels with smoked salmon, poached eggs, hollandaise sauce etc. Good quality comfortable mattress and bedding.
