We loved our stay at Cathedral Lodge. Exceptional location, right on the grounds of the famous Canterbury Cathedral, with parking right outside the lodge (must be reserved). Great breakfast with lots of choice, just perfect. The rooms are very nice and comfortable, all well thought out. We had a fantastic view of the cathedral. Entry to the cathedral is free for guests of the lodge. The location is a perfect base for exploring Canterbury.

It's as good as everyone says it is. Don't let the white walls in the photos fool you into thinking it's drab. This place is classic understated elegance, and you can tell it was built to last and with quality. Seaside with rooms with a view (and binoculars!) , comfortable bed, modern bathroom, lovely downstairs area with 24/7 bar and an amazing buffet breakfast that provides a full English short of blood pudding.
