Lovely place, everything was wonderful. Beautiful manor with tasteful decor, comfortable rooms and beds. Sue and Dave and chef Bob were the highlights though! So lovely chatting to them and getting to know the history of the property and surrounding area and great travel recommendations.

A clean and well furnished small first floor flat in the centre of Hawick. Very good communication with the owner regarding access etc and during the stay. Microwave in the kitchen. Comfortable bed and good shower. The complimentary wine is a nice touch. A great stop on the Border Abbeys Way.

This hotel was beautiful, clean, and accommodating. Carol went above and beyond make us feel welcome. The rooms were spacious and the common areas help to make us feel at home. The owners did a wonderful job renovating this castle. This is my 5th trip to Scotland and I have stayed in many hotels, branxholme castle is definitely my favorite. Breakfast was amazing and definitely the best I’ve ever had.

    Small town to be enjoyed day or night beautifully set in the lowlands. Excellent, reliable bus and taxi services. Numerous supermarkets for choice in addition to many hosterlies. When the sun shines, just close your eyes, breathe in the fresh air and realize how lucky we are to have such beautiful places as Hawick.

    The boarders distillery is well worth a visit as is Hawick museum which is located in a beautiful park where the river teviot runs through.also the textile house is a great little museum in the middle of the town .

    Hawick Park is fantastic and well worth a visit, as is the museum in the park. The town is a bit run down unfortunately, but there are still a few nice cafes etc. Hawick is well situated to visit other towns etc and also has some good walks in the countryside.

    Lovely town, would love to stay longer. the property is across road from leisure centre with pool, supermarkets all close by, lots of lovey walking, great, clean streets and independent shops. a 10minute walk to Wilton Lodge Park with museum, lots of sculptures, waterfall and great playpark with lots of seating for picnic and a cafe next to the park

    Hawick has a lot to offer.

    Hawick has a lot to offer. Home of Cashmere and tweed there is also a distillery and award winning park. Plenty of places to eat that are highly rated. The wider area offers lots of opportunities for walking, cycling and visiting abbey's, castles and stately homes. Give it a try..

    Hawick is a lovely town.

    Hawick is a lovely town. Interesting architecture - old mills, buildings etc. 1880s onwards. Have a town trail. Lots of places to eat & drink. Lovely park. People friendly. Liked the Queens Head friendly staff - dogs welcome. Ate in Brodies - again dogs welcome. We walked to/from our hotel no problem.

    Annette went out of her way to welcome us, lighting up the log-fired hot tub in advance which stayed warm without a fire from 5pm until midnight (in October) and giving us guidance on Hawick (a well-equipped sizable town) only 5 minutes drive away. The Borders' scenery is excellent and our accommodation, as well as including everything for a stay for a family of 4 also had a patio and barbecue. There is an amazing amount of furniture crammed into the building but everything, including the beds was very comfortable and clean.

    We arrived to a warm welcome from John who showed us round the property and my God the property is immaculate! It's lovely and fresh, spotlessly clean and very comfortable. The welcome hamper and fridge with a couple essentials like milk and butter was a very nice touch and much appreciated. We were in Hawick to attend a birthday celebration 5 miles away and John kindly offered to drive us along, an offer well beyond our expectations and so very kind. I will happily book this property again when visiting the area.
