Beautiful location, total peace and tranquillity. Perfect, rural retreat. Lovely to see the deer walking around the property in the mornings. Very poor, patchy mobile phone signal which was great as allowed you to truly relax! Our hosts were very accommodating with our check in time due to the distance we were travelling and this was very much appreciated.

The people were friendly and helpful. The hotel was the best place and we had our meals there except lunch at Costa which is consistently good. Our visit to the Lace and Pottery Museum was interesting and the staff there informative. We had come by train and found taxis limited to find. As it was raining we visited a few High Street shops but didn’t linger

We have stayed in Honiton on on several occasions but...

We have stayed in Honiton on on several occasions but briefly.We booked this hotel because our usual one was not open . My request was dealt with very promptly. It is a very handy venue if travelling to Exeter and onwards or for the ajrport. We have visited several pubs for Sunday lunch , , aĺl of which were most acceptable: one was right on the river and was very agreeable .

We stayed just one night, but what a wonderful, cosy stay it was! The room had everything we could possibly need — and more! We were pleasantly surprised to find juice, water, and milk waiting for us in the fridge. The shower was absolutely amazing, and the room itself was full of charm and character — we loved it! Cara and Steve were incredibly kind and helpful, even serving us breakfast in our room at 7am on request — such thoughtful service! We would definitely stay again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area. Thank you for a fantastic stay!

A lovely town with nice places to eat and a good car park. We had our evening meal just out of Honiton at The Greyhound Country Inn - at Fenny Bridge. We can highly recommend. Good food, plenty of parking and nice and cosy and dog friendly.

Pleasant market town with plenty of facilities, individual shops and some chains, good supermarkets, and a fuel station just off the A30. A lovely garden centre on the western side of the town where lunch was great and mostly locally sourced produce was used.

We enjoyed the peaceful location in a picturesque setting. A short walk to the centre of Honiton with a nice selection of shops, cafes, pubs and restaurants. The Yellow Deli, Mama Mia (Portuguese) and The Holt are good places to eat. Good local bus service to places such as Lyme Regis, Seaton, Sidmouth and Axminster at a reasonable cost. Train to Exeter is also a short walk from the Honiton town centre. Plenty of other places to visit within the surrounding area.

The property is really easy to get to from the main road and in a perfect location for any Honiton based weddings. We got a taxi to GreenAcre Events for a wedding, which was about 20 mins. The staff were lovely, so friendly and welcoming. Food was AMAZING! Breakfasts came out piping hot, and the continental breakfast bits were also really good quality and obviously home made. The pub and rooms are dog friendly and I have to give it to the cleaners, you won’t get even the slightest waft of dog anywhere.

Location is good for exploring the south of Devon. The cottage itself is compact but perfect for me and my dog, a couple or small family. The bedroom is lovely and the bed is very comfy. Kitchen has everything you need. The garden would be great in the summer and enclosed so dog friendly. The hosts were perfect, there when I needed them but left alone to do my own thing at all other times.

Good location, close to where we wanted to go, currently having the thatched roof replaced, banging from workers very early around 7am, woke us all up, was hoping for a lie in before a big day we had planned, scaffolding all around the hotel, we should have been informed of this when booking.
