Located halfway between John O'Groats & Thurso, a hidden gem, Wayne the host is a wealth of information & could not be more welcoming. There are 2 pubs located 5 minutes away, we had dinner at the Northern Sands, excellent meals. Would have stayed longer if time permitted, if you're looking for peace & quiet Celtic Lodges is perfect. Highly recommend.

We loved our brief stay at Burnside cottage. Close to the ferry at Gills Bay for the next morning. Kacey was so welcoming & the food amongst the best we sampled throughout our stay in Scotland! Cosy room with a great view. Excellent breakfast with a varied choice of food and drink. Warm welcome from the hosts on arrival and an equally warm goodbye on departure after a very nice chat. This is what a B&B should be. As a family of three with an eight-year-old child, we enjoyed our stay immensely.

We loved everything about Glen Lodge! The pod was charmingly decorated. We loved the puffin theme. :) Everything was well thought out and in great condition. We have stayed in a couple of pods on our NC500 trip and Glen Lodge was by far the best. We would definitely and gladly rebook! Yes, be aware that there are no large supermarkets in walking distance, but that is the case for most of the Highlands, and a big Tesco is only a 15 minute car drive away.
