We arrived quite late at 7:30pm. The staff member on reception was very friendly and accommodating and advised that we had been upgraded to the newly renovated rooms as they had availability. The rooms were exceptionally clean, comfortable and well provisioned. I have been lucky enough to stay in a couple of fancy hotels, including Hayman Island on the Great Barrier Reef, and the rooms we had at Marks Tey were on a par and better than those hotel rooms. Excellent value for money for our last-minute booking. Menu looked tasty and great value, but we had already eaten so didn't try the food on this occasion.

Absolutely everything, the hotel and staff were very welcoming. Emma made us feel at home abc went the extra mile. We arrived late for breakfast, the young man on duty kindly rustled up toast, yoghurt and fruit for the whole family. Thank you one and all

This is a unique place, which you can't really rate by usuall standards. I had an absolutely fantastic stay in a historic atmosphere while having all the needed facilities and services. If you want to feel like staying in a 14th century inn, but with modern amenities, try this place
