Excellent place to stay if you're going to Peak District. Breakfast was great!! Not just the normal buffet but we could order extra dishes, pancakes. The staff were very courteous and professional. The facilities were extremely clean.

A wonderful place to dine and rest your weary head. The staff were warm and welcoming, and were sure to help us settle into our room for the night. A beautifully decorated room and really comfortable for our young family of 4. The food was delicious! Highly recommended.

The hotel was immaculate, and we loved the added touches of the hot chocolate in out room as well as the tea and coffee machine .our room over looked the beautiful lake .The breakfast the following morning was very nice indeed.

Absolutely beautiful decor, very clean and spacious. Had everything we needed, loved all the little touches such as the items in the fridge - milk, orange juice, water, chocolate brownie! The shower gel smelt beautiful, stunning bathroom and really good shower. The bed was really comfy slept very well! Absolutely loved the private terrace we had through our patio doors it was beautiful to sit out and relax and leads down to the bar. We will definitely be back, one of the nicest places I’ve stayed locally!

Beautiful location! Only a couple minutes from Bakewell but so calm and peaceful. We had the best view of all the cows outside our room and the restaurant was great. I would definitely recommend this place as the perfect location in the peak district- close enough to town and for all the hiking you could want!

The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating, been messaging Fran for days prior to my attendance in regards to decorating the room, she ensured everything was perfect for the occasion. Gave us the biggest room, provided instructions as to how to decorate the room to avoid any damage, advised on disposing off the decorations after. She even arranged for someone to help bring everything upstairs as I arrived. Could not ask for more, excellent staff, service and atmosphere. The building and area are absolutely beautiful and absolutely perfect for a romantic getaway, highly HIGHLY recommend and will definitely be coming back.

Great welcome on a very snowy night. the hosting was wonderful, and the personal letter on arrival was a nice touch. the room was really clean and fresh and great bedding and comfy bed, so was very happy. everything worked and it felt easy to drive and start and things worked (they dont always in places). Breakfast was incredible, such great quality and value as advertised. fully endorse this. customer service at breakfast also great. really quality establishment and such good value....

    Newbold is great, the perfect base to explore the Peaks. The Pubs are all friendly and welcoming, everywhere we went was dog friendly. Handy shops if you need any supplies. Looking forward to coming back one day.
