Beautiful hotel and connected to a convenient outdoor car park. We had a spacious room for 3 with an extra sofa bed, comfortable beds and pillows and all amenities provided for. Buffet breakfast offered a good variety and was delicious.The coffee, tea and biscuits in the room were very much appreciated.

There was a mistake with pricing in the confirmation email that I received, stating that dinner was £0.10 per person per night. This was clearly wrong but the staff very kindly honoured it- a gesture that was very much appreciated since both my sister and I were exhausted from 48hrs of traveling and hard work.

Excellent hotel staff. Location is perfect, next to Bar21, a gym and close to Asda and bus station. The building is authentic, and has very nice details. The breakfast is great, freshly prepped, good coffee.

So would we recommend it - to anyone who is not looking for...

So would we recommend it - to anyone who is not looking for a normal 4/5* star hotel which could be anywhere in the world but something different and with character, yes we would, but be prepared to be adaptable and enjoy the experience. Would we go again? - probably not as we seldom if ever go back anywhere as there so many other places to explore. Did we enjoy ourselves? We sure did. The Italian in North Newton., was very good especially as as arriving before 7 we were able to enjoy a 2-course meal for £14.95 which was excellent. The nearby Lock Inn was recommended but wasn't opening until a week later - shame - it was situated by a beautiful lock
