Breakfast was fantastic. The staff at this location were excellent. We had a party of 8 other people (family from Basingstoke) join us one night at the restaurant there and the staff went above and beyond to make it a memorable evening.

We really loved this hotel. It’s located in a beautiful spot, the building and grounds are gorgeous. When we arrived there were deer, rabbits and hares running around on the lawns. It felt magical! Lovely staff, rooms were faultless and the breakfast was absolutely delicious! We were very happy to have a cooked to order breakfast and the eggs Royal were so good, the egg yolks were so bright and orange that it’s almost like they were laid that morning. Bed was extremely comfy and it was peaceful. The hotel is decorated in an classic contemporary style which is very elegant with flare.

    Having stayed in a large chain hotel in Newbury only the night before my stay. The words that come to mind is chalk and cheese. The staff at the Beach were excellent polite well trained and looked to enjoy their jobs. The polar opposite to the night before. This is a gem and i will be returning in may.

    The room was nicely renovated, lovely big clean bathroom. Being attached to the pub is handy as we were able to bring food and drinks into our room to have whilst we were getting ready. The bus stop outside of the hotel is very handy and free parking is always a bonus with hotels these days. Very friendly and helpful staff.

    We arrived late after difficult travelling conditions and a 90th birthday party. I had tried from 7pm to advise the hotel that we would be late. When I finally made contact they were very helpful and waited for us. The room and bed were comfortable. We didn’t have evening meal or breakfast.

    Location was good with nice walk across fields to Oakley. Bedroom was OK. Bathroom very clean. Shower good. Breakfast was OK, but could have done with some fruit and yoghurt, and cereal options.

    For an overnight stay whilst en-route it was excellent for us. The bed was very comfortable, the staff were helpful, the hotel is a little tired but for the money we paid, it did the job.
