We especially like Padstow out of season as it is much easier to get around and enjoy the wide range of restaurants, pubs and bars in the evening. The working harbour with its lock gate is always interesting to walk aroung, have a pasty or coffee and cake. We love Padstow and have visited several times over the years. Bear in mind that it is actually very small and can get intolerably over-crowded in high season. Padstow is a lovely place with a relaxed holiday vibe.
Padstow is a lovely place with a relaxed holiday vibe. There are many good restaurant and cafes. Easy to walk around although there are some hills and a lot of good shops both male and female as well as great art shops. It is a lovely place. It is quite small and therefore a weekend is enough. Rick Stein's Seafood Restaurant was an amazing experience. There are a lot of Gin and Vodka shops, which were great because we were not driving and sampling was fun. Padstow Brewery is worth a stop and the flights of beer were great. We had the wettest weekend and even so had a great time. Padstow is a busy tourist location, early morning is the best time to pop out for breakfast/coffee before the crowds arrive although most places do not open until 10.00 am.
