Lots to do and see beautiful countryside. The Quay was lovely and well thought out. Shopping was reasonable and plenty of choice. Good bus links and open topped bus looked fun. We liked Poole a great deal as we were there during a festival of the sea event there was lots going on, with music and special exhibitions. Very vibrant. Walking friendly and well sited for other attractions nearby. As the largest natural harbour in Europe you might imagine...
As the largest natural harbour in Europe you might imagine Poole to be a watery paradise - unfortunately it's very built up and you don't get a sense of the location from most of the town. However it's in easy reach (via the Sandbanks chain ferry) of the beautiful nature reserve of Studland bay, the Victorian resort of Swanage and the Dorset (jurassic) coastline stretching to the west. Not to mention Brownsea Island in the harbour. Sandbanks beach is clean and unspoilt with lifeguards on hand - and if you have the energy you can walk along the beach to Bournemouth. The New Forest is a stone's throw away and public transport via bus from Poole to the coast and inland is exceptionally good and easy to navigate.Guest review byvicky

The restaurant facilities were excellent and they make amazing coffee too. The breakfast was very good and well presented. Our room overlooked the bay and was very comfortable. I would highly recommend this hotel and you are supporting a good cause at the same time. We will be staying again when we next visit Poole.
