Best experience I had while traveling around Scotland. Such a nice hotel in this cute little Scottish village. The room was spacious, with a full mini bar and everything you needed. Both shower and bathtub in the bathroom. I really enjoyed my stay here.

Queensferry is a lovely town, but suffers as all have from shops being turned in to hairdressers and charity shops. Could do with a little bit of care and attention to some of the lovely old buildings which are looking a bit stressed.

A nice little get away for a night after a heavy weekend. Cracking hotel and fantastic views of the 3 bridges over The Forth. Some nice pubs along the way too. Some modern and some with a more local rustic feel.

Queensferry is a lovely place to walk around.

Queensferry is a lovely place to walk around. There are lots of excellent restaurants and coffee shops. I had lunch at the Railbridge Bistro and a lovely dinner at the Thirty Knots restaurant. There are nice little shops to browse in. Queensferry is very near Edinburgh and there is an excellent train service into the city from Dalmeny Station.

Ideal location and base to visit Edinburgh. Accommodation clean and well equipped. Nice welcome pack of bread, milk, cheese, fruit and more importantly coffee pods! Peaceful location and Queensferry has many places to eat and walks. As a couple we used a two together railcard to catch the train (a 10 mins walk) from Dalmeny station to Edinburgh Waverley for 3-days in a row. In Sep 2025, this was only £8.49 daily return for the two of us with an open return and no peak time limits.

We booked the Hawes at Queensferry for special reasons and were not dissapointed. I made a mistake with my credit card information but the staff at reservations were curtious and helpful and it was sorted out very quickly.the hotel is actually a row of converted cottages and the character and charm of each cottage has been skillfully maintained within the hotel. Food was excellent, breakfast incredible!

Large stylish room with all facilities. Lots of power points and USB sockets. The restaurant and bar had a great atmosphere. Casual but high end dining. All the hotel staff were very efficient, pleasant and helpful. The hotel is a 15 minute walk into Queensferry. Also worth mentioning, there is a Tesco store around 100m from the hotel.

The apartment is perfectly located in Queensferry, a charming city with stunning views and plenty of great restaurants, cafés, and bakeries nearby. It’s only a short and affordable train ride to Edinburgh, making it an ideal base for visiting the city. The owner was very quick to respond and extremely helpful throughout our stay.

Almost perfect: great location (ask for a room looking out to the bridges) for both getting into Edinburgh and heading off up north, comfortable bed, good shower, decent food for dinner and breakfast, able to park right out the front (9pm arrival and pre 9am departure though)
