This is very likely the best B&B we have ever stayed at. Everything was top top class. The buiding and facilities were immaculate and the history made it even better. Breakfast was superb and the service provided by Jacky and John couldn't be bettered. Would certainly recommend and not go anywhere else if visiting the area.

This is a very nice apartment with either one or two en-suite double bedrooms (one bedroom is locked when only booked as a one-bedroom apartment). The kitchen, dining, living area is reasonably spacious, with sofa and armchair, and the kitchen is well equipped with induction hob, oven, microwave, fridge, etc. There’s a nice view of the beach and sea from one of the windows. Sharon is very helpful and friendly. Good location.

Probably the cleanest apartment I have ever stayed in! Decorated to an extremely high standard (gorgeous ceiling detail in lounge). Rose the owner was so excellent in her communication before, during and after. The location was perfect with gorgeous sea views. Beds extremely comfy with en-suites to 2 bedrooms, were perfect for our set up.

Redcar (-by-the-sea) is trying hard to get back to its glory days (before the peers were demolished) with the refurbishment of the town centre. The beach is long and sandy and the sea water clear and swimmable if you avoid the rocks. The promenade is worth a walk, passed the fishing boats and the oldest lifeboat in the world museum. Not many restaurants but plenty of cafes.

I have been to Redcar many times over the years and it looks like the local council are spending a lot of money on the place to bring it up to scratch. The shopping area is becoming very tidy but the sea front still needs a bit of attention but I`m sure they will get there in the end.

If you like a drinks bargain in a welcoming friendly pub visit the Pig and Whistle, don't be put off by the looks. They couldn't be more friendly if they tried. They don't serve food or have live music but have a great Juke box and snacks.

Only thing good about Redcar was its closeness to saltburn.

Only thing good about Redcar was its closeness to saltburn. The promenade, and ice cream. It is a sad and run down town. Full of druggies, vagrants and pissheads. Nothing but charity, and Beauty enhancement shops. Even KFC couldn’t survive. personally don’t think blowing a shed load of tax payers money on a new library is going to help.

We have always loved Redcar and the local people here , its beaches and coastal walks are so refreshing , also the variety of shops are quite pleasing , although now as the same as a lot of shopping areas across the North East a number of them have closed down , but Redcar seems to be "hanging in there" and shops are still open and enjoyable for us holiday makers to shop in . Would recommend this hotel and redcar to all our friends and family as the accommodation and warmth you get here is something that all holiday travelers and guests should experience .

Really clean, nice large room with nice large walk in shower and bathroom.Staff were so friendly. We stayed for evening meal and we both really enjoyed our meals-piping hot and tasty.Breakfast service is also great-tea,coffee,toast and cereals all laid out to help yourself and then staff come round and take your order for cooked breakfast and you can mix and match your breakfast items.Nothing was a problem for any of the staff, our experience was totally faultless. This will always be our first option when we visit Redcar.

The facilities have private parking with a control barrier. We could see our bikes from the room. Always a bonus. The room was well equipped and comfortable. Kitchen bar was a bit small, but it was OK for a short trip. Redcar has a great beech, as used to film the Dunkirk scene in Atonement. It was relaxing walking along the beech. The town feels a bit down on it's luck. I'm glad we stopped by and had a relaxing stay before heading off to York. Petrol is cheap.

The Beaches really is excellent possessing everything one needs in terms of amenities and with a perfect location in Redcar, close to the sea and also the town centre. Steve is a wonderful host who provides a great service. From Redcar I could easily reach Whitby (by bus) and Durham (by train). But there are things of interest in Redcar too, for example the beach. Saltburn is only a few miles away and the walk from Redcar is memorable.
