We weren't there long enough to really get to know the village (town?) but it looked as if there were some interesting walks for the dogs, an interesting river,birdwatching oportunities etc, and quite a few pubs for a place that size! Always a good shout. It also lacked a really busy main road cutting through (at least, from where we were staying) so not much traffic noise and easy to get about without getting knocked down!Guest review byo loan - 10

The cathedral was very interesting and if you get the chance to take communion there you are made most welcome. Good choice of eating places, main meals or just coffee/tea and cakes. Rooms were very clean, nicely furnished and a good size. Only 5 rooms in the hotel so a fairly quiet stay. Hosts were very accommodating, friendly and even rang ahead of our arrival to see if we intended eating at their carvery. We did and it was delicious !
