We were down visiting relatives in Hastings.
We were down visiting relatives in Hastings. We usually stay in town but it's a noisy place, and we wanted peace, quiet and countryside calm, so Sedlescombe suited us perfectly. As a golfer myself, it would certainly be an excellent venue for a 'play and stay' as well. For evening meals, we tended to drive 10 minutes into Hastings, park up, have a stroll along the front, then take our pick of the many eateries.Guest review bymelvinUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Very picturesque village hotel staff at Brickwall hotel exceptional. Queenshead pub 2 mins walk from hotel dog friendly and had garden food there was excellent. The Brickwall hotel holds a commanding position at the top of a small village main street overlooking a small green. There is one other pub/hotel and a general food store/post office...local drama soc and appears to have an active community.it the Village hall.
