Beautiful location, ideal for Ben Nevis. Glenfinnan viaduct and stunning beaches 30 - 60 mins in one direction and Loch Ness and Glen Affric (highlight of the trip!!) about an hour in the opposite direction.
Spean Bridge is an excellent base for a hill-walking trip. There is a handy Spar shop and we ate at the Old Station House two nights - pretty standard fare and quite expensive but great to be able to eat out within walking distance in aHighland location.
Lovely village with several B&B properties but book early! The only restaurant in town was the Old Station Restaurant. Really excellent food and ambiance but again bok early - its the only place we found to eat in the evening.
We didn't really visit Spean Bridge since we wanted to see Glenfinnan, hike around the lochs and go to the beach at Mallaig. But it seemed nice and quiet. And Spean Lodge was a piece of heaven so we didn't really want to leave when we were back :)
Spean Bridge is a pretty little place with some stunning walks and scenery. The shop has everything you need for your stay and there is also a Post office. There wasn't a huge selection of places to eat or drink and some were closed when we were there but it was probably just the time of year and we ventured into Fort William which has plenty of choice to eat and drink.
Beautiful Small Village tucked away from the Hussle and bustle. Quite and Peaceful area. Mai Bus root to Fort William and surrounding area's. Locals are so helpful and supportive, specially, i was waiting for a bus to turn up for a while when a beautiful lady turned up and asked me if i was okay as she had noticed me being waiting at bus stop quite a while.

The owners, Dani and Cameron were so kind and welcoming and full of great information of things to do in their area and restaurants to go to. Appreciated the heads up regarding reserving restaurants in advance for dinner. The breakfasts were superb, one morning was the pancakes with berries, and the next morning was a Scottish breakfast. Nice to have a living room to relax in in the evening and meet and chat with the other guests. We loved our time there, and would definitely return.

I stayed a couple of nights as I was taking part in a race in the area and it was just perfect for my stay! Very cosy, clean and modern, well-equipped, had everything I needed. Quiet and peaceful area, not far from Fort William. Prices seemed reasonable for the area and time of year. I really enjoyed my stay and would recommend to anyone looking to stay in this area. The hosts Sue and Mick were helpful with my enquiries pre-stay aswell and it was lovely to meet Sue when I arrived!

Teresa was the ultimate host! She makes the best whiskey porridge we tasted in all of Scotland. It was creamy, the perfect balance of flavors, and a great start to the day! The cheerful room decorated with shades of gold and white overlooked the gorgeous front garden and felt luxurious. After a long journey, Teresa's warm welcome and homey touches felt like an oasis for us.

Everything was very tidy and clean, Alison made sure to replace foodies, tableware and towels regularly. The location is very nice if you want to experience the good views and nature, as-well as explore the highlands as long as you have a car, being a short 20 min drive from both fort william and fort augustus. I would recommend and will probably return.
Spean Bridge
Lovely place. Within walking distance of Spean Bridge train station. Easy drive to everywhere else we visited, Ben Nevis,Fort William. Very easy check in. Place had all the amenities we needed. Cost wise. The whole area of Fort William isn't cheap, id definitely suggest Spean Bridge as an alternative if you are driving. Still close to everything.
Spean Bridge
Lovely spacious bungalow with everything you need for a self catering stay. Loved the location, just outside Fort William in an extremely quiet neighbourhood. Great for our climb up Ben Nevis and really appreciated the hot tub at the end of the day. Would highly recommend Spean Bridge as a destination away from the hustle and bustle.

We stayed at this hostel and had a good experience overall. The room was basic with bunk beds and a private bathroom. There was a shared kitchen and a common room with board games, which was a nice touch. The on-site restaurant served simple food, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. A good place for a short stay.
Spean Bridge
The apartment is very closed to Fort William and its attractions and trails. Kitchen was very well furnished, also the dryer was there and in a rainy day is the best you can find. Very confortable place, easy to park. Super recommended!!

The location was lovely and quiet, Simon and Morven were excellent hosts, so welcoming, the room was spotless and the recommendation for the Station Restaurant was great, breakfast was as good as it gets, a wonderful stay.

Amazing bed, beautifully decorated room and a great shower. Was by far the comfiest place we stayed on our trip. Spean Bridge turned out to be a great location for exploring Fort William, Glencoe and the surrounding area.
Spean Bridge
Great location for Ben Nevis and Fort William, a very pretty cottage with gardens, very well equipped and cosy. Jeanette the host was super helpful and we look forward to our next visit.

This was a great stay for our large family! Perfect distance from Ft Williams and Spean Bridge. We met a friendly peacock that must live in the area!

- Excellent location, right next to the lake and mountains - really good cabins - staff very helpful - well stocked bar - good restaurant
Spacious and clean room. Great location for Fort William and Ben Nevis. Old Station pub/restaurant in village is very good.
