Over all a really nice place to stay. Fresh food cooked with every order (breakfast lunch and dinner) Some staff were really friendly and couldn’t do enough for you. Some staff seem miserable and it seemed like it was an effort when asking them a question. That didn’t make the experience a rubbish one. The accommodation was very comfortable and our host who was happy to guide us for things to do and was very knowledgeable about the surrounding area and it was situated in a good location for visiting a variety of attractions. Lovely area in Cotswolds.
Lovely area in Cotswolds. Easy to visit Stroud for our concert and following day for Farmers Market - 5 miles. Good area for walking. Visited Woodchester Mansion. Just be aware although supposedly National Trust only the grounds and £1 off for members after long walk downhill! Stayed for one night for work to visit one of the new industrial units next to the M5. This hotel was less than 10 minutes away so perfect for what I needed. 2 of my colleagues had stayed here a few weeks before and recommended the place. The hotel itself was in a quiet village in a pretty setting. This was ideal to sit in the beer garden enjoying the sunshine in peace. I had dinner in the bar which was very good quality. the 2 gents working that evening were very friendly and helpful and couldn't do enough to help. The room was of a good size, with a large comfortable bed. The en-suite bathroom was also a good size. I would definitely stay again next time I'm in the area.
