    Stunning beauty, especially for this desert rat (coming from blistering hot southern Arizona). I soaked up the green: meadows, grassy hills, leafy trees, and conifers. Beautiful heather covered mountains, rocky crags, and deep valleys. I’m in love!

    My wife and I loved it all!

    My wife and I loved it all! The staff went out of their way to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. My wife is disabled, and they looked after us very well indeed. Rooms were comfortable, clean and spacious. Cannot recommend it too highly.

    Best scenery in Wales with the added attraction of epic military aircraft low level flying training. Cadir idris Cad East & Cad West now becoming very popular with what's become known as The Mach Loop. "See youtube" Mach loop.

    I have nothing negative to say about my stay in the hotel or this area. The hotel was clean, comfortable, welcoming and tranquil. Being in the area for a wedding, with our dining plan already arranged, we did not dine in the restaurant. However, as breakfast was so good, we wish we could have done. Majestic drive through magnificent scenery from Dolgellau to the hotel. Pretty drive from hotel to Tywyn.

    Perfect place for long/short walks.mountains are on your door step for hiking. Hotel was spotless and staff went the extra mile.Two days was just not long enough special mention to the chefs unfortunately we didn't get to meet but food and service was 10/10 always piping hot and cooked to perfection.

    Lovely situation, clean and comfortable rooms, good breakfast. The evening meal was reasonably priced and good quality. The lack of a television and wi-fi in the room is unusual in any hotel, these days. However, for me, I'm not bothered about a television in the room and wi-fi was available in the main communal area.

    What a fantastic find. We have just returned from a 2 night stay and it’s just an amazing place. We came to wales for the first time to visit the Mach loop and this hotel could not be more perfect. We had a lake view double with balcony. The views are stunning, we ate both nights in the restraint and the food was exceptional. The boboti is sublime and the lamp outstanding. Breakfast was also equally as good. The staff very friendly and couldn’t do enough for you. We will be back.

    We had a lovely water view from our room. The grounds are beautifully kept. We enjoyed a wonderful dinner and there were vegan options for our daughter. The full breakfast was also quite exceptional and is included in the room cost. There are several nearby hiking options, just a short car ride from the hotel.

    The hotel is set in a great location. It is nice and quiet and great for getting away from it all. The food choice for dinner was excellent and the food that I order was really good. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was included in the price, excellent choices and good food.

    The accommodation is in a lovely position in the Tal-y-llyn Valley & within easy reach of many attractions such as the steam railway or Castell y Bere. It was exceptionally clean & the breakfasts were lovely. Alex & Lorraine were very friendly hosts & nothing was too much trouble.
