Activities/experiences too expensive, waited over an hour for our breakfast at the spitfire (ordered around 10.30am, it arrived 11.54) no one told us prior to arriving that our passes wouldn't work past 11am the day we left.

Tattershall is a really nice little village.

Tattershall is a really nice little village. There is a lovely cafe in the village market square. The castle is really intersesting, and there are great things like The Battle Of Britain memorial Flight, and East Kirkby Aviation centre both nearby. It's best if you don't mind the sound of jet planes as RAF Coningsby is close by and flies regular training fights with Typhoons on weekdays, but to be honest, for us, that was a big part of the attraction. All in all a great place to visit.

Tattershall is a lovely place to visit.

Tattershall is a lovely place to visit. Not just the lakes but we spent a wonderful morning exploring the castle. It belongs to the National Trust. We visited the air museum at Tattershall Thorpe. Well worth the visit, especially if you are interested in the Dam Busters. We ate at the nearby Bluebell Inn. It was delicious and has a wonderful history of its own.

Tattershall Lakes is a lovely place, we have visited a few times over the last 7 years but have become very disappointed this last visit compared to our first visit. You require a ‘pass’ that is additional to your stay to access anything on site, everything is built into one area- that you need a pass for. Even the toilet- for a passing by 3 year old child! These ‘passes’ have to be purchased 7 days prior to check in, you aren’t able to purchase on site either. Just by who you’ve booked your stay with. You can purchase one week before your holiday however spaces for the activities- especially the limited free ones- they open 21days prior to your stay. The ‘pass’ I can understand to a point however once you’ve purchased said ‘pass’ most of the children’s activities are then at an additional cost! And are age rated- I’d check all the activities available and age rating before booking the pass. This pass is mainly to access the building& parks. Everything is gated in, so only access in and out by one door. You do have access to the lakes to view and walk around, however even parks are only built into the ‘pass’ are .. making it a struggle if you didn’t want to purchase one. Compared to when we first started visiting and enjoying tattershall, you were able to access the small amusements just in the door way, the parks & outdoor seating around in the main entertainment complex.
