I love the variety of independent shops.

I love the variety of independent shops. The seafront, harbour area and little streets are really interesting. I swam in the sea and enjoyed restful hours on the beach. The vintage stores, charity shops and clothes shops are friendly and welcoming and I bought some nice gifts for friends and for myself. Windy Corner Stores does a great breakfast and coffee. The Whitstable Oyster restaurant was fantastic. Ossie's fish and chips were very good. It is so easy to get around Whitstable and I also got the bus into Canterbury one day for shopping and sightseeing.

A beautiful seaside town with a great atmosphere, history, castle, restaurants, music and quirky shops with plenty of beach and a long interesting promenade. When the tide is out you can see the oyster farms. It's our fourth visit and we can't wait to go again.

    Charming coastal town.

Charming coastal town. Great seafood and lots of dining options. Land and Sea was a wonderful restaurant for dinner in Tankerton. The Sportsman is a Michelin-starred restaurant in SeaSalter (3-4 miles away). The Lobster Shack/East Quay Venue had great food and the venue is ideal for events. Great walking town and area. The Whitstable Castle is a charming place.

A great deal of interest - many individual shops and eateries, fascinating port offering boat trips, quayside market stalls, uncrowded and uncommercialised beaches, possibility of lovely walks along the sea front, excellent castle-gardens with superb tearoom. Parking at the station was easy and excellent value at £3.20 for the day and an easy walk to both the town centre and Tankerton beach.

Spacious and light, comfortable beds and furnishings. Pillows could be plumper, but everyone different so appreciate hard to please all. Large kitchen and well equipped. Great that the driveway big enough for two cars, especially as off street parking so limited. A 10 minute walk to the eateries and shops in Whitstable, so a great location. Large enclosed garden and equipped with furniture and children’s play equipment. Dog friendly too!
