Green parks and walks right on the doorstep, very refreshing and certainly somewhere I will be back to visit. There is significant historical and cultural interest in Wigan, especially industrial architecture and the wonderful local museum and George Orwell library. The people are very friendly, talk to them! The town has suffered enormously from economic transition and the effects are still playing out. It's a small sleepy town.
It's a small sleepy town. Although it has everything you need. But not much Indian restaurants and one caution the town get completely dead by 9 PM in summers and by 5 PM in winters u won't get anything after that it's not safe to travel alone at night.. otherwise it all greatGuest review byPrithvirajIndia

An Esso fuel station is just down the road from the hotel too, which was a lot cheaper than motorway prices. Every member of staff we met were friendly, helpful and polite. The room is adequate for an overnight stop. The room was also quiet from outside noise and adjoining rooms.
