Amazing location. Love the town and this place was amazing. Only issue was they didn’t send the lock box code. They said they would text it to my phone number. But it was sent through the Booking .com ap which you don’t always have open. Suggest they review this process as their phones also didn’t work. 50 minutes waiting out the front.

An attractive small town, right next door to Blenheim Palace and near to Oxford: an excellent base for exploring the area more generally. The town has lots of places to eat and drink, and some useful shops, including a co-op in the centre of town. Prices aren't cheap, but quality is good. Parking can be a bit of a problem at busy periods, but we managed OK.

Parking can be challenging; the free car park allows only 12 hours out of every 24hrs. Paid parking has max stay of 4 hours so there may be the need to move your car frequently if you're not going out during the day. Lots of pubs and hotels are dog-friendly but there aren't many places to take a dog for a walk. There isn't a lot of grass around unless you want to pay £31 to walk the dog at Blenheim Palace. Woodstock is however a very pretty town with lots of places to eat and drink. Probably better if you don't have a dog or a car though.

A beautiful and quiet place with lots of eateries and interesting shops. Parking is a bit of a pain though as you are only allowed up to four hours and where we stayed had no off road parking which meant that before breakfast you had to dash out and feed the meter. Add to that the problem that the meters often ran out of paper so you could not put a ticket under your windscreen and you might have to write a note to say you have paid.

Woodstock is a lovley place to visit and stay.

Woodstock is a lovley place to visit and stay. Parking is not easy as there are not many places to park. Plenty of different priced accommodation and places to eat. When I stay I always eat at Blenheim Palace as this is my main reason for coming to Woodstock. I would not stay anywhere else as once you are at your accommodation , Blenheim Palace is a stones throw, and the side entrance is in the village. As I am a solo traveller I find it a lovely safe place to walk around.

Visiting Blenheim Palace close by. Woodstock is a pretty market town with a good selection of places to choose from to eat out. We enjoyed eating out at The Chef Imperial Chinese restaurant/takeaway where we had a delicious meal for 2 at very good value for the local area.

Woodstock was such a pleasant surprise.

Woodstock was such a pleasant surprise. Woodstock was recommended to us as a way to break up our trip back to London. We stayed two nights and loved it immensely. Blenheim Palace is a must see and the local shops are lovely. We used Woodstock as a base to travel to some other small towns.

Excellent location for Blenheim, Woodstock and good parking facilities. Room clean and breakfast great. Lovely bar and resturant. Staff friendly helpful. I have stayed in lots of hotels in Woodstock over the past 4 years. Including the Bear that people rave about. I have to say the Duke of Marlborough is far better equipped and rooms are so much better in cleanliness and modern which is missing is so many of the other hotels. I would 100% recommend this hotel and I have already booked it again. 5 stars.

Good location, lovely room, comfortable bed, good food in the restaurant, excellent location for visiting Blenheim Palace and wandering around Woodstock. Bathroom clean and tidy, no black silicon everywhere like a lot of hotels. the shower pressure is a bit limp but adequate. Parking at the rear, tight but ok, private entrance for guests was a nice touch as parking is a problem in the town. Great place for a wander, plenty of places to eat and Blenheim Palace is within walking distance.

Staff experience excellent. At initial booking in was dealt with by Dawn. A conversation ensued relating to the reasons for my stay. I informed Dawn I was dealing with the recent death of my wife , how we had stayed at the hotel previously and how I was trying to come to terms with my loss. Dawn was wonderful, caring, sympathetic and supportive. A wonderful introduction to my stay in Woodstock. A great asset to your company. Thank you Dawn .

Wonderful roll top bath and views over Woodstock from my room which was charming, very comfortable bed with extra large square pillow, felt a little like some of the hotel rooms I’ve stayed in in the South of France.
