Location of the hotel was perfect with country side feel and so much open space for a good walk. Interiors of the hotel are also quite unique giving feel of cosy pub/restraunt and very different open glass view eating area with a lot of plants around. Highly recommended.

It was an amazing 10 days! Julian and Ruth are wonderful people, attentive and friendly, who helped us in everything. We thank them for communication and warm relations. We became good friends. We also made friends with cats))) The living conditions are as in the pictures and in the description, the room is warm and cozy, the bed is comfortable, there is a kettle in the room. Convenient location near the railway station. Great accommodation, highly recommended!

    we live in Yate and have no issues with Yate. Chipping Sodbury (the next town) is what visitor's would like to see - an old market town. We were at the Cross hands for a 30th birthday party and know the hotel well. It is well situated for the cotswold, Bath, Bristol and just fantastic countryside but you will need a car.

    It was a bit tired and dated, air con would have been appreciated but the room was clean and the beds comfy. We ate in the restaurant, food was ok we both had the sirloin steak it was lacking in veg. The pudding was superb, staff were friendly

    To short a visit to offer a fair opinion.

    To short a visit to offer a fair opinion. Convenient for both Westonbirt and Slimbridge, and a short visit to Tetbury was enjoyable. The room was adequate for sleeping but not to sit and read quietly.

    Good location to get to from M4 motorway. Beautiful old buildings with large outside seating area in garden for summer meals. Large pub area inside. Had booked twin room but this had gone through from booking.com as a double room. However hotel sorted it out immediately. Very comfy bed.

    Charming building with a well equipped room. The whole hotel has a lovely character and security is good with electric code doors. Plenty of parking. Restaurant underneath is fabulous. Excellent value for money.

    We only stayed for one night, but enjoyed our stay and would go back. The food was very good. Breakfast and evening meal were served up by very friendly staff. The hotel is very old but full of character.
