Lovely place to stay, balcony was beautiful and was great for a week. A few good restaurants walking distance away. Beware, up a big hill for people who can’t walk very far! Staff were lovely and the cleaner did such a wonderful job!

Upon arriving we were very warmly greeted by Eleni who immediately made the place feel like home. We were very pleasantly surprised by the spaciousness of the room, the balcony with yacuzzi, the view from the balcony,….All of it gave a feeling of luxury. We felt we got more then what we paid for. Skiathos is awesome, small, very lush, with plenty of excellent beaches, very friendly locals and impressive cuisine (sometimes unfortunately toned down a bit to meet the taste of the tourists; look for places a bit off the main throughfares). The only issue is that it gets very crowded and there are a lot of obnoxious and loud British, who seem to think that they own the place. Visiting the Monastery of Evangelistria is a must (the aforementioned British are excused from this). Local honey and wine are exquisite (for the latter, refer to the wine list in the restaurant). The hotel is very close to Koukounaries Beach (5 mins walk, downhill - uphill on the way back...), which is beautiful, but quite noisy and crowded, especially in the early afternoon, when the water taxis bring in hordes of tourists from the city. Banana Beach is supposed to be very nice, but has all but been taken over by the nearby luxury hotel, could not find a way there. Best bet is to rent a car and visit the genuinely awesome secluded beaches on the western/northern shore, accessible via a dirt road (watch out for people, who do have a quad, but not common sense). Note that there are only a few understocked and overpriced shops and small choice of restaurants in the area. For shopping groceries, rent a car and head to one of the Sklavenitis shops (biggest one is next to the airport). The hotel itself comprises of several small buildings scattered around in a beautifully kept garden, rooms are nice and spacious. The swimming pool is quite small, but there is no reason why anyone would spend any time there with all the awesome beaches around. The staff are very professional, helpful and kind. As regards breakfast: this is one of the rare cases when "excellent" is right on point.

Our room was in a perfect position right by the pool, very peaceful. Maybe not for everyone but we never felt overlooked or lacking privacy. The bed was very comfortable and the shower was fantastic, the two big asks for any hotel stay. The room was spacious and well equipped, perfect min every way. All of the staff were amazing and couldn’t do enough for you, so friendly every single day, from George on reception, Nikos and Nik on the bar and the lovely waitresses in the restaurant, cannot fault them. They were all amazing and a credit to the place. Location was perfect, a minute to the beach with lovely tavernas to choose from and a short stroll into town. A perfect week, and would 100% recommend.

We stayed here on our way to Skopelos and the only negative thing is we could not stay more. Hopefully we will come to Skiathos next year and enjoy it for a longer stay.

    Achladies is a great place to stay.

    Achladies is a great place to stay. The beach is sandy and the sea warm and clear. Plenty of sunbeds. The Mojo bar is great for breakfast, lunch and drinks. Friendly and attentive staff. Water taxi is a great way to travel to and from Skiáthos town. Quick and reliable. Also enjoyed the nearby restaurants. Great food and friendly staff. The couple of supermarkets have all the basics needed. Also a regular bus route around the island.

    Achladies beach is lovely sandy beach with a couple of bars...

    Achladies beach is lovely sandy beach with a couple of bars and eateries, the octopus which has fav food and Mojo which is a local bar with food. There are sunbeds and you can get a water taxi to skiathos town and back every half hour. There is also a supermarket nearby and a bakery. The supermarket will deliver your goods of over 25 euros which is a great service. It also has water sports and is lovely for a swim

    Try the food at Best Achladies fast food grill house. Very delicious! The public transport on Skiathos is very well organized and it is easy to explore the island and go to the main town even if you don’t have a car.

    A lovely little resort, just right for a relaxing stay. Easy access to buses or ferry to Skiathos town. We loved Mojos on the beach for relaxing drinks and next door was Maniatas garden restaurant for food

    Depending where you stay it can be a hard walk either to or from the beach up a steep hill. Beautiful beach well worth the walk . Good supermarket and bakery. A few lovely taverna/ restaurants. Water taxi useful for evening transfers to skiathos town, bus can be full at stops 10 & 9.

    The hosts were extremely helpful.

    The hosts were extremely helpful. Air con was not working so we were upgraded. Would love to stay again. Everything superb! One restaurant on the beach had closed but hopefully reopen when we return. Boat across to Skiathos town such a lovely experience. My sister’s first experience of skiathos and she fell in love with it!

    The property was beautiful, peaceful, comfortable and well maintained, with exceptional sea views. The hosts Kiki and Christos are very kind and went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect. The location is great, with a nearby supermarket,a beach club and restaurants. The bus stops are also close , with regular buses to Skiathos Town and other beaches. There is also a water taxi at Achladies beach.

    Location was amazing! I also liked that the owner was around and always had a very nice mood and attitude :). The beach is very close, you can walk down a quite steep route and you’re there. There are two markets nearby where you can buy goods and breakfast. The bus stop number 9 is around 1 minute from the hotel. Overall really good stay!! The view from the balcony was absolutely amazing :)

    This is my second visit here and I just really love it here. Rooms are a little outdated but it’s comfortable for what you need. Staff are really friendly. Like that it’s a family run hotel. The view from my room was stunning,! Will be coming back.
