Go when not so crowded or hot. We did well at end of September. I highly recommend if you have a car to do a free Olive Oil tour & tasting at OILYPIAN Koufolias Olive Oil Mill about 15 min away from town. I also loved OLYBEEA for family run local honey which you may sample before you buy! Have a meal up the hill (you can walk but best with car) at The Garden :) You will dine under olive trees & get a great view. Olympia town is quite small but has some very nice tavernas, cafes and ice cream shops mostly under shady trees. The Main Street has a string of souvenir shops, some of which are quite stylish. Amazing archeological site and museum. The town is very nice, quiet, with a lot of shops and restaurants. I booked an entry at 5PM and the site and museum were not crowded. I would recommend that for a better experience. Stays open until 8pm so plenty of time.Guest review byshirlUnited States - 10

The site itself and the museum were superb.
The site itself and the museum were superb. Best of all on November 15 we had it almost to ourselves with not a tour group in sight. We had the room with the pediments and Hermes all to ourselves. I have visited a dozen times over the past 35 years and always to share the treasures with large groups. We ran on the stadium and there was only 3 other people there. AmazingGuest review byAnonymous

The rooms are old, but super well maintained so I would call it retro and we loved it! Rooms were very quiet. The pool area outside was very nice. Enough, free parking spots. Everyone was very nice and the staff seemed to love their jobs. We stayed one night because we thought it’s a cheap hotel, but we could have easily spend a week in this hotel and the area.
