The place to catch the railway up the mountains to Kalavryta. It also has a limited rail service to Athens and is close the the main Pelopponees motorway. It is very much off the tourist map and the town offers little in the way of attractions. It is however ideal for those wishing a quiet stay. She actually took me to the post office and helped me with this . He gave us some great tips about the Diakopto train which was very helpful. The place itself is huge and has wonderful views. It needs to mentioned that you can go swimming, however there is no sandy beach infront.
