Very central to visit Corfu town by bus €1.60 e.w. for a day trip, gouvia is lovely, gr8 restaurants, fresh food & the beach was lovely, every restaurant we ate in was delish, especially the chinese restaurant, ooh and the bar with the Elvis tribute was brilliant and reasonably priced for drinks too. Gouvia is a village type resort that spiked off the main road to Corfu town . Lots of restaurants and a few bars / motorcycle rentals , supermarkets, tour trips booking centre and apartments and hotels , Everything you need for your hols to hand . The supermarkets are really reasonably priced . The restaurants are plentiful and also priced well . Gouvia is a lovely area, I went with a group of girls in our mid twenties. It was very relaxing and some lovely restaurants (I would really recommend the seafood linguine at 9 muses). Gouvia has some lovely beaches within a couple of minutes of our hotel. It is typically people in their mid 50s but great for a more relaxing, lounge by the pool kind of holiday. We got the bus into the old town or Ipsos to go for drinks/club vibes, which were super easy to navigate and way cheaper than a taxi. We stayed in Gouvia as this was the base for a wedding party. Otherwise may not have chosen to visit, but would not be averse to staying there again for a late season sunshine beach holiday. A number of tavernas were already closing by early/mid October. Everywhere in Gouvia is accessible on foot, and other beaches/Corfu town easy to reach by car (if you are brave enough) or by bus.Guest review byMargotUnited Kingdom

The location of hotel is great because from Gouvia you can get to the most beaches and places on the island and you don’t need to go to Kerkyra every time. The hotel yard and the pool area looks amazing, the olive trees are lovely. The rooms were better than expected, very clean, the air conditioning was working well, the wifi too. The ladies came to clean everyday. Smoking is permited on the balcony. All the staff was so nice, they were smiling all the time and they were so helpful. Good for access to the buses , 2 euros fifty to corfu town . From there we got a bus to the airport 2 euros. Much better than a taxi at 35 euros.
