We were still close enough to Fira to visit on foot, and there were good transport links to get elsewhere as well. On arrival it is confusing - hotel is built on upper slopes...
On arrival it is confusing - hotel is built on upper slopes of caldera, so it has different levels. On the plus side as soon as you leave the hotel you are on the famous Fira/Oia walk - turn right for Fira. You are on the highest part of the caldera so initially it is downhill, also you are close to Skaros rock which is worth visiting for the views and has a church partially hidden on the seaward side at a slightly lower elevation. As long as you can look to the sea you will have great sunset views wherever you are,my hotel patio was great for this.Guest review byAlanUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Glad I booked Imerovigli over Oia or Fira. It was quieter, more affordable, has amazing views and walking distance to great restaurants. Imerovigli is a stunning destination, with incredibly beautiful accommodations and restaurants. The only downside is the many stairs you need to climb, which can be tiring in the evening after a full day. On the other hand, in the early morning I really enjoyed jogging through the area. We loved Imerovigli.
We loved Imerovigli. It has some lovely cafes and restaurants away from busy Fira which is just a 20 minute walk down the hill. Avocado restaurant is great for dinner and Ellie cafe next door excellent for great coffee and breakfast. Wonderful sunsets!!Guest review byPhilippaAustralia - 10.0

It was so nice to stay here. Away from the crowds of Thira and Oia. Lovely little village with fabulous restaurants. Easy to get the bus into Fira 2 euros. Equally you can walk it in 30 minutes down a lovely coastal path.Guest review byhelenUnited Kingdom
