A highly interesting and atmospheric town with at least 2 good restaurants. It is set on a steep hillside and a good deal of strenuous walking is included in a stay-walking is the only way to get around. The 2500 years old stone lion on the edge of town is worth the effort to get to it. The beaches rival those of anywhere in the world. This history of the Island is fascinating and the locals genuinely friendly. I would recommend this Island and in particular the villa we stayed at for peace, tranquillity and beauty. The view of the harbour at night is so beautiful. Our host Marios was very helpful throughout, from his communications prior to our trip, to meeting us at the property and showing us around, to collecting the keys when we left. The property is in central Ioulida and close to the bus stop, taxi rank, mini-markets and restaurants. The comfort and the amenities are just great. The house is very clean, beautifully decorated and it has everything one can need. The location is great as the centre of Ioulida is at waliking distance (through beautifull little paths) and, at the same time, it has a parking spot nearby (which is very much appreciated).
