What a lovely and welcoming guesthouse Locandiera is. Very lovely team, Paolo and Tamara were very hospitable and friendly, delicious and very generous brekkie with plenty of vegan options, amazing location and super comfy beds! We were on the 3rd floor in Room 5, we loved the spacious room, and quaint views over the rooftops.

A wonderful, peaceful place in a not-too-touristy part of the island (which, for me personally, is perfect!), run by a lovely Greek family already in their third generation: caring, attentive, unobtrusive, and incredibly kind people you just want to come back to (which we actually did later during the same trip to Corfu). This guesthouse feels like a club of returning visitors from different countries who have become friends and are genuinely happy to meet again in this special corner of the world. The food at the taverna (right there at the guesthouse) is delicious and made with love — try the warm potato salad made by the hostess!! It’s pure magic! The beautiful garden, originally planted by the owner's grandfather, the wine, and the music — and that’s it, you’re hooked and become a member of this club, even if you didn’t mean to join it 😅

The staff is very friendly and attentive with our needs, always smiling andcommunicative. We really appreciate the fact that they have managed to prepare the room and accomodate us earlier than the check in hour. It’s hard to explain how exceptional this place is. When you go through the gate you just go into a totally different world - world of Karen. She created a place where you can feel that you are on luxury holidays but also at home at the same time ! She prepares a delicious breakfast- you can choose them from the menu. Sometimes she shows up with freshly baked pastries!! Pool area is clean, quiet. Gym - even tho the hotel is small the gym is very good equipped- plenty of space, great machines and Pilates reformers !! The only really small disadvantage of the place is that I think that you need a car to see the potential of the island- but don’t worry- Karen will help you to organize it ! Don’t hesitate to book it!
