All beaches were clean and tidy. Enjoyed by the locals, often staying past sundown. Lots of tavernas to enjoy. Short walk to 2 supermarkets if needed, well stocked. Kato Daratso is a lovely beach location a couple of kilometers outside Chania centre which you can walk into along the beach in 15/20 minutes or take the bus which stops every 15 minutes at the top of the road and takes you in in 5 minutes for €1.20. The Theodosi restaurant is highly recommended. There are a number of supermarkets and pharmacies in the area. Vivid village with plenty of of restaurants and shops, even Lidl. There is car rental and also travel agency as well, in case you want a book an excursion. The beach is super sandy and there is surf/SUP rental. It has small kitchen with all basic cooking utensils. The location is very close to the Chania center (20 minutes walking distance) and it is 10 minutes walking distance to Golden beach, one of the most beautiful beach in Crete. If it's windy, this is the only beach where you'll probably be able to swim. The apartments has aircondition and a lot of windows. It has a lovely garden with palm trees and flowers and a nice pool and pool area. Our room was comfortable and clean with a balcony overlooking the garden. The location is perfect; just some minutes walk away from the beach, minimarket, supermarket and the bus to Chania (only 10 minutes drive). There are also good restaurants in the area. The rooms are spacious, beds are comfy (including the 'sofa' bed) and kept really clean throughout our stay. The pool was great, kids loved it. Close to the beach and easy bus ride into Chania.
