Kipoi is a very quaint little village with 2-3 restaurants...
Kipoi is a very quaint little village with 2-3 restaurants and thats it. It was easily accessible to the Zagori region close to the most famous bridges and main towns and the unbelievable Vikos Gorge which you have to visit, we went to the Óxya viewpoint which was amazing . A very beautiful area to visit but a very long drive from Athens especially if you come on one of the smaller roads, rather use the highway to get to the area then adventure around, we took a small road and spent half a day driving through forests with nothing to see. The map of Zagori that the hotel gave us was a great help Monodendri is one of the larger villages worth visiting - if you like to hike take your time and follow the tails that range from 1 to 5 or so km from the various bridges it is so peaceful and the forest beautiful. Once you have seen the top 5-6 bridges and 2-3 villages it all becomes the same so don't stay too long if you aren't walking. I have never ever smelled better bed sheets in my life. We visited the hotel in August and we did not need any air-condition facilities. The view is amazing and the area around is quiet and perfect for a calm nice sleep. The staff are very friendly and give you tour suggestions.
