You would definitely need a car here to be able to visit Oia and Fira easily. Also Kamari was actually our favourite place, had a lovely beach, shops and restaurants. Loved Megalochori: little beautiful village with its colorful houses,churches and little back alley streets. It was as if I was walking in a big painting or Theatre set. The locations is exactly in the centre of the island and in 10/15 minutes you can reach the south for the beaches and the north for the attractions like Fira and Oia. Having a rented car is a plus to be free to go around. The village and room are very clean and in a quiet area to have some rest from your daily life!
