Mytileni has an area which it is called: Λαδαδικα "Ladadika". In there there are cobbles, nice tavernas, cutsie bars, and so on. We liked to enterprised "Ladadika" narrow cobbles with its nice bars under huge trees, and it's tavernas. Also it is worthwhile to visit Mytileni old port. And to visit Mytilini Castle and its Archaeological Museum We liked "Pelagos" restaurant with its live music and its friendly staff. Also it has tasty Greek food. Lesbos has a great bus service. One day I travelled to Petra (not enough time for one day. I would recommend to stay here). I also bussed to Agiosos. There is more to see. Mytilene is a big enough island to have a lot of things to do, from historical sites and the famous Petrified Forest, the churches and monasteries, and of course a lot of different beaches to enjoy the sea and the views. We chose Mytillini because we had friends who were also from there and spending the summer there. There were many beaches with a variety of sand and rocks. Most of the beaches had very clean water, some did not. The food was very good and we really enjoyed going into the city at night to shop and walk. Much to our surprise there were very few souvenir shops, however we did find one that had recently opened that had some beautiful items. We did not do some of the typical sightseeing because we like to relax while on vacation. You do need to drive to the nicer beaches so a car is essential. Although many hotels say beachfront you can’t exactly go swimming at those beaches. I would say that it is one of the less touristy of the islands which we enjoyed.Guest review byNikolasGreece - 10.0

She prepared us maps to give us ideas about what to do around the island, restaurants, beaches etc. (She is as great as she has been mentioned here. :) ) Our room was close to centre (around 10 min walk). The room was clean and comfortable; also, it is on the way in and out of Mytillini, so if you want to get out of town by car, its location is easy to find.
