Souvala is quieter than Aegina Town but that is not a bad thing. It is more laid back. It has some good tavernas, bars and restaurants. The souvlaki at Theophilos is to die for. With a Greek salad and a small Carafe of wine , two Souvlakis 17 Euros. That's great. There us a,small beach near the small harbour. There is also a another beach slightly out of the town which in high season has sunbeds and a bar. Just a short walk.. Souvala has a good Supermarket Bakery and some other little shops too. April was too early to go to the beach and swim. A few restaurants were open and a good supermarket with necessary items available. A short taxi drive 15eur to the Town of Aegina is recommended. Amazing location friendly and warm host and staff. A stay I would totally recommend if you are looking for something to ease your mind and enjoy the sounds of the ocean . The bohemian style combined with the traditional style of the room we stayed was a great way to enjoy our stay at the fullest. The host and his family were more than friendly and helpful to everything we needed and always ready to please us in anyway .Nice place to visit is Moni as u take a boat for perdika and you will be amazed by the scenery and crystal clear waters . We also enjoyed aigina as we mostly dined . Panta rei was a nice call day cafe-lunch -drinks were the staff is very friendly as well as the souvlaki place kipos in Shia marina was also good . Souvala is a quiet and small village with a little sandy beach to swim. There are some supermarkets and a lot of cafes and restaurants. Souvala is a quiet little village and harbour but very pleasant for a short trip. We stayed just one night as a break from Athens and the ferry to Aegina Town was a relaxing way to arrive. Aegina Town is more sophisticated, but Souvala had a number of restaurants that looked good. The little beach was mainly used by local families and retired people so it was pretty quiet and had charm. We had a great brunch at the Azure Beach bar and would recommend Saronikos Restaurant for dinner - lovely food (try the local pistachio pesto) and wine - reasonable prices - and right next to the sea with a fantastic view.Guest review byClaireUnited Kingdom

The accommodation is full of nice spots to lay down and watch the sea or the sunset. The check-in and check-out was really smooth, the staff was always smiling and helpful. Souvala is a nice spot on the island - public transportation is not the best, but the taxi services are available. Aegina is a beautiful island with really good beaches, not crowded by tourists everywhere, therefore you can experience the real greek culture. First of all the hosts who are a wonderful family who are there and answer every question and always with a smile. The location is perfect on the sea with a view from every location in the hotel, a swimming pool (we were afraid of the sea salt but it didn't bother the children)..great breakfast.
