The island has beautiful beaches which can be accessed by water taxi. The swimming and snorkelling are amazing. We saw a variety of fish, squid and a turtle. The harbour area is quite commercial and busy when the day trippers are there. However, when they have returned to Rhodes, it;s a very peaceful island. It's worth exploring the many small streets and myriads of steps that wind up the hillside. It's easy to get lost but that's part of the fun. The food shops are relatively small but we found plenty for self-catering. There are some very good restaurants in the town (there were some super-yachts staying every night we were there) and the prices we paid weren't too bad. Plenty to offer in the way of shops restaurants etc, good beaches can be reached by water taxi, particularly liked St Marina for its facilities and ease of getting in and out of the sea (12€ return by water taxi) Pedi was also nice, I went by bus 2.5€ each way. Beautiful landscapes and promenade by the port… it could get too touristic at times, and the yachts could block the stunning view. Beaches are great with mesmerizing turquoise water, but mostly rocky with pebbles, the island is lacking sandy beaches.Guest review byKonSterGreece

The property is perfect. Very quiet and we we're there a couple of weeks ago. We spent two nights in the property and it did us fine. Would I book again if going back to Symi, to right I would.
