Petrcane is a quiet village 25mins from Zadar. You would have to take a taxi. There’s everything you need for a quiet getaway but plenty to do also. In the small town of Petrčane, there is a decently equipped motorboat rental, both with and without a captain. I highly recommend taking a boat trip around the surrounding islands and bays. The town has pleasant restaurants and bars with a peaceful atmosphere. I highly recommend going to see old Zadar and possibly the island of Vir, which can be reached by car. There is a great restaurant in Petrčane at the Petrčane hotel, great seafood, pleasant service and the view is beautiful. A small village built for tourism on the shore. All the apartments are quite close to the sea. The water is very clean, the beaches are located to follow the sun during the day. Petrcane is a small, friendly fishing village with a few pebble beaches, and some small marinas/piers. There are some small shops and a few restaurants/bars. The location has stunning views. Petrcane is a very small seaside village, a half-hours drive north of the much larger city of Zadar. Petrcane has a couple of small rock and pebble beaches (no sand beaches) with absolutely crystal-clear water. The town centre is on the sea front with bars and restaurants facing the sea, which is nice. There are a couple of tiny corner shops in the town centre but a much more convenient small supermarket about 15 minutes walk out of the town centre, near the best beach (Punta Skala) which is a private beach that costs 40 Kuna per person to access (absolutely worth it).Guest review byHadrien

After having three destinations in Croatia in different hotels, I can say that Pansion Marco Polo was the most pleasant place - a clean apartment with a large terrace and a sea view. And the most important thing was the friendly attitude of the host Julia to us and our dog! The town itself is very pleasant, without the noisy tourist crowds and allows for a pleasant vacation.
