Zagreb is a wonderful city.
Zagreb is a wonderful city. We've been many times and will continue to do so. Lots of beautiful buildings and great restaurants and cafe culture is wonderful - once you realised you can literally sit for hours watching the world go buy with just one drink. Loved Zagreb.
Loved Zagreb. Although a lot different to the cities on the coast we found it less crowded with tourists than Split and Dubrovnik. Very easy and fun city to walk around. Wish we had spent more time here.Guest review byBrettAustralia - 10

First time, independent visitors staying for only a day...
First time, independent visitors staying for only a day should IMHO walk up both of the hills in old Zagreb. The areas around both of them are interesting but the "lesser hill" (the one without the cathedral) was to me the more enjoyable. A small city which is not really as orientated as Split or Dubrovnik and not at other capital cities (a plus in many ways). Many beautiful spots though and very nice people. We took the hop on hop off bus as we only had one full day - really worth it! Also we went on a Sunday and most of the shops were closed - but the museums we chose were open.
