Nice relaxed rural/coastal Bali, great place to just wind it back and take time to slow down. Snorkeling, temple tours both great, hot springs are truely hot and well worth the visit (anytime of day or night), but I’ll mostly remember the friendly approachable people in the neighbourhood. The trip from Denpasar is long and arduous but worth it, The setting in the National reserve is beautiful, The rooms are quite excellent. The staff are absolutely lovely. It is a haven of peace with stunning views, wonderful pool and hot spring, delightful staff, cheap and delicious food, and only 7 comfortable cabins. Unbelievable value for money. It's in a local Balinese area and we enjoyed wandering the streets and seeing the houses with pigs, cows and goats in the backyards and children playing with their kites.
