This hotel is simply amazing - the best hotel we’ve ever been to and we have visited fair share of them. Room was very spacious and nicely designed, very comfortable big bed, amazing view from 20th floor, it has all essentials and more : ironing board, refrigerator, etc., some things a little outdated but in good shape and serves its purpose. The breakfast buffet was very nice and offering both European and Indonesian food, also diner options in restaurants were amazing. Staff was very helpful, you can buy cigarettes in the facility as well as order laundry service (though it was quite expensive even for hotel standards). There are two ATMs in 100m radius and another Citi one in 300m distance. Hotel is fairly close to the big mall and is generally well located. Exterior of the facility is breathtaking, amazing luxury vibe combined with variety of beautiful plants give an amazing experience. Pool located at 3rd floor enables to use it without necessity to show of your spidos in reception area which is usually the case in hotels. Lastly, small detail but important - toiletries provided by hotel are top notch, great conditioner and nice smelling body wash.

    My last visit to Surabaya was about 10 years ago. The city had transformed to be nicer and cleaner. Shopping malls were excellent now, cleaner. Keep it up. Surprisingly bluebird taxis were still available, but driver's honesty was questionable at times (meter rates).

    Surabaya is a good stepping stone for other places.

    Surabaya is a good stepping stone for other places. We didn’t really tour the city, mainly because we had other plans around it. The air quality was a bit disturbing. There were a lot of accomodation options, which was good. Would recommend it if you want to see ruins nearby or fly to Pangkalan Bun (Kalimantan).

    Well Surabaya has been improving a lot now, for example it widened the main road like jl Ahmad Yani and others. clean gardens, and traffic was not so bad actually. it is easy to get around. our fav resto is Beatus alfresco Grill N Dining for sure. it was a very short trip 2 nights but fulfilled the purpose of the trip.

    1. Plaza Surabaya Mall, Tunjungan Mall, Gubeng train Station. 2. Many types of food. 3. Most of the time we move around with Grab. 4. Walking on streets if possible as too many traffic and less pavement to walk on safely.

    Movenpick hotel is very clean, nice big rooms with wonderful, amazing & friendly staff Elsa, Shanaz, Mali, Tyas. Elsa the boss of housekeeping team made my room every day, clean, nice smell. Every night when I come to my room made me very happy, clean & nice smell. Good girl Elsa. Shanaz, Mali & Tyas were my guides. Everyday they arrange my trip & I really enjoyed. God bless there hearts. Mali, Tyas & Shanaz were helping me to order Grab& Places to visit. The best customer service, friendly with lots of smile. Very respectful staff & wonderful service.
