Super charming place, it’s simple but very good location close to all surf spots and restaurants. The owner is super responsive and helpful and the internet worked great - I was able to do remote work (using heavy data). I actually loved it so much I wanted to extend my stay.

Fantastic location right on the beach. The bed was so comfortable and the owner was very helpful. Lots of water provided during the stay. Nice Warung just along the road and local village about 2km away. We were only people staying so it was very serene.

Normally couldn’t be bothered writing a review but Julian and his team here have an epic spot. Check the surf from the balcony, great showers, very tasty food and everyone has a smile on their face. Staff are incredibly friendly Loved our time here

The most wonderful place to stay if you want a relaxing surf holiday. Beautiful view and location, just a short walk from the beach and into the village but so nice and quiet and peaceful. Beautiful view as well. Baba and his staff made sure we had a lovely stay and we’ll definitely come back here!

We had a fantastic stay at this property. The room was exceptionally nice and comfortable! The entire property, including the dining area and pool, was beautifully maintained and aesthetically pleasing. Best Homestay in town. Ian was super helpful and helped me with literally everything. My bike broke down once as well so he helped me with that also. Super nice town with lovely people. The food they cook at the homestay, is the best food I’ve tasted in Indonesia so far!

Whales & Waves is truly a wonderful place to stay in beautiful Sumbawa. We loved everything- the huge yard, the outdoor community space where we met a lot of cool people, had our meals, played with their two labradors etc. The place is really kid friendly- a lot a children were playing around, skateboarding and having fun. The rooms were also good. We rented kayaks and went snorkeling to the nearby island. The food was great, we recommend trying the Mie Goreng with beef! The local surf spot is 5 minutes away by motorbike which could also be rented at the resort. We were there for just 5 days but next time we’re staying more. :)
