We had a wonderful stay! The lovely, friendly staff went out of their way to accommodate our late arrival and make us feel welcome and comfortable. Our dinner and breakfast were superb. Our room was spacious and spotless and overlooked the water. I would highly recommend this guesthouse to others.

Lovely hosts who were very accommodating. We were greeted with Tea, Coffee and biscuits on arrival. We stayed in a large spacious room which had a large double and single bed. The bed and pillows were very comfy which resulted in a perfect nights sleep. We had a choice of Cereal, toast, fruit, croissants and cereal bars for breakfast which was an added bonus. There was a selection of toiletries and a hairdryer available if needed. Beautiful surrounding views in a quiet location makes it a perfect place for a getaway. We were also able to go and see the horses which was great!. Many thanks for having us. We thoroughly enjoyed our short stay and can't wait to return!

The breakfast was great. All the food was fresh and well prepared. There was an issue with Booking.com not forwarding our prepayment to the hotel. When this was brought to the attention of reception, it was promptly investigated and resolved to my full satisfaction. A great staff at reception.

    Borris is a lovely old style village/town in South Carlow. Borris House and its surrounds give great character to the place. Plenty of scenic views in the area. The old railway viaduct trail at the bottom of the village is worth a visit.

    Borris was difficult to find for those who can not use SatNav! To help others , Look for Bagnelstown after that ,easy. Borris is well positioned for touring historical buildings and sites in Co.Carlow, Co.KilkennyCo. Waterford and Co. Wexford.

    Lovely quaint village with a fine estate house right in the centre of the village. Peaceful relaxing , an ideal place for relaxation and also close to kilkenny city . Lovely old pubs especially Joyce's. A magnificent viaduct that was part of the railway network.
