    Nice town, friendly people, some great traditional town centre pubs, although some of which don't sell food, Swan park and the river walk are beautiful and interesting, even in the rain, nice coastal footpath heading north out of town, with small and quiet sandy coves.

    Next time we go to Buncrana we shall enjoy going on the ferry. We will enjoy looking inside the large household store on the main street and we shall try to time it so that we can enjoy some of the many musical festivals

    Buncrana is on the western side of the inishowen peninsula...

    Buncrana is on the western side of the inishowen peninsula on the banks of Lough Swilly. It is a small town that has all the amenities that you’d need for a self catering holiday but is also so near beautiful beaches and interesting sites - the Ring fort, Grianan of Aileach was near enough to visit with the children after tea - amazing 360 degree views and a great place for a careful climb! 5 finger strand was our favourite beautiful beach but really we were spoilt for choice with several with white silk sands within 30 mins of our accommodation

    Nice neat tidy town. Good selection of shops. Swan Park is a brilliant place to visit- all free. Walks by the Lough very enjoyable & easy to park. Bus service to Derry. Ferry across the lough if needed.

    We stayed here and then went to the Giant's Causeway and the Dunluce Castle and viewing platforms nearby. Fantastic views! Tip: Pay to park at the Causeway Hotel and get a voucher for lunch, then take the shuttle for $1 each way to the Giant's Causeway.

    Historical walk along the front with gorgeous scenery and plenty of information boards or plaques along the way with great information, friendly locals and nice pubs to chill out in, Quite a few seem to have live music on at the weekend if you like that? If you don’t then they were not as bad through the week

    I loved everything about this house and it's location. I have daughter who is non verbal autistic (8yrs old) so this was r family's first attempt at holiday with her, I was very anxious at first but when we arrived the house was perfect for us loads of space and private for my daughter to run free and enjoy herself which really made me relax. Plus buncrana beach is short drive down the road which was brilliant as daughter loves water. Couldn't fault anything about r first family holiday. 10/10 experience 😀

    Brian made us very welcome. He is very enthusiastic with an encyclopedic knowledge of places to visit in Inishowen and provided maps and leaflets galore. St Columbs is a beautiful house to stay in well located in the town centre. Although our room only had a shower he allowed my partner to use a separate spacious bathroom with a bath. I appreciated sharing a traditional Donegal nightcap with him. Overall we had a memorable stay in Buncrana and would recommend it to others.

    I have been to a few BnB in Ireland but this one was exceptional. It felt like I was staying with my own family. Evelyn and her husband are one of the friendly people I ever met, they treat the guests with love and kindness. Always there to help with whatever I needed. My room was very clean and neat. Had a delicious breakfast as well, spoiled for choices. This place is now my second home whenever I visit buncrana.

    Room 226 was a really good size, over looking the bay and spotlessly clean. Breakfast was cooked to order, great quality. On site restaurant and bar had a brilliant atmosphere with live music on Saturday nights and the food was 1st class. Staff are all really lovely and willing to help. Beautiful beach just across the road and garage next door to pick up any essentials. One of the best hotels I have stayed in.

    Location waa great, located next to Swan park and within walking distance to Buncrana. Maria & family were so nice and made us feel very welcome. The freshly baked bread and goodies were a lovely touch. Very spacious and comfortable house.
